Even five-a-side teams, every week

Players rate themselves on their phones when they join. Deal makes even teams and spreads the keepers. Then the league runs on the clubhouse TV.

Ratings stay private · Keepers spread out · Run it again next week

How the night goes

  1. Fair teams in a minute

Everyone rates themselves when they join, and players can’t see each other’s ratings. Deal shares them out so every team’s total is about the same, spreads the keepers, and says how fair the teams are.

Rather pick? Captains take turns on their phones, in snake order.

On your laptop. The ratings stay off the TV.

  2. Results on the clubhouse TV

Each score goes in as the match ends. The table moves, and the next match is called.

  3. Your phone says you’re on

Players don’t need to watch the TV. Their phone buzzes when they’re on, and says which pitch.

How it’s set up

Questions organisers ask

Can players rate themselves?
Yes. Add the Rating question in Setup. Each player gives themselves a number on their phone when they join. Players can’t see each other’s numbers. You see them all, and you can change one in Setup.
What about keepers?
Setup suggests a Position question, with Keeper and Outfield. Add it, and Deal spreads the keepers out, as well as the skill. Need one on every team? Say so in words, such as “a keeper on every team”, and Draftastic checks it.
Can we keep the teams for the season?
Yes. When the night ends, press Run it again on the Stage. Everyone keeps their team unless you switch it off. With a host page for your club, switch on Make it a season, and the season table adds up every week.
What if someone drops out on the night?
Remove them in Setup, then Deal again. If the teams are already saved, move a player across on the Stage: tap their name, then a team. Their phone shows the new team.
Can I just make random teams?
Yes. For a quick kickabout, put the names into the team generator. It splits them into random teams, with no sign-up.
